GOD DELIGHTS IN YOU 
"I once returned from a publishing convention with almost two dozen Christian novels, eagerly anticipating the look on my oldest daughter's face when I handed them over. I didn't plan to read a single one myself, but parents will agree with me when I say that few things give a mom or dad more pleasure than seeing their kid truly enjoy something. My daughter Allison used to devour those novels like I salivate over a brand-new pair of running shoes. 

" I couldn't wait to get the books into her hands. Watch a young mom play with her baby. Most mothers become enthralled when they first get their babies to laugh. They can't help themselves; they'll spend a half hour trying to elicit one last giggle, because the sound of a child learning to giggle feels absolutely intoxicating. It's life with a capital L. 

" All of this merely reflects the heavenly Parent above us all. As our true and perfect Father, God delights in our delight. Isaiah 62:4-5 reads, 'The Lord will take delight in you...; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.'
