THIS WORLD IS A SCHOOLHOUSE

TUNE IN TONIGHT 10:00pm Central
In this day and age Christians are in a mode of "we four and no more." We have forgotten that we are to interact with this world in order to win souls for Christ.  How does our Father use this world as a schoolhouse to teach and train us?   How does the Father use circumstances and situations to mold us and shape us?  What does it mean to be conformed to the image of His Son?  How does the Father us these things to reveal Himself in His timing?  How does the renewal of our mind to Christ's finished work on the cross liberate us?  How is our new life in Christ liberate us from the world systems?  Let us look into the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit lead and guide us into all truth!

‘SPORTS CHAPLAINS’ BRING THE GOSPEL TO OLYMPIC VILLAGE
There were probably fewer American fans in Sochi than at previous Winter Games, partly because of concerns about security, and partly because of the time and expense it takes to get to the Russian resort town on the Black Sea.

But Americans were represented there, with gusto, by a group of evangelical Christians who call themselves the International Sports Chaplains. Members of the group have been going to the Olympic Games since 1988.

On a recent sunny day at the Olympic Park, with bands playing and fans strolling around the venues, the chaplains move through the crowd in teams of three or four…. Read this in full at

"What then is the difference between the good man and the bad? Only this: They both suffer, they both have pain, they both know tension and trouble, but there is a difference in what they suffer for, in what they have trouble from, in what takes away their peace of mind. The measure of a man is that which bothers him, that which disturbs his mind, that which annoys him and costs him pain."

Stop Inviting People to Church

Stop Inviting People to Church

(From SIMPLE CHURCH JOURNAL)

I received the following email from Mike Lyons several years ago that bears repeating:

I have made a promise to myself. I will stop inviting people to my church.

Hear me out now.

I spent nearly a decade with my well paid job in the church trying to get people to come to church. We would develop strategies, advertising through TV, radio, print, internet, marketing plans... wowing them with worship experiences, video, dramas, amazing sermons, direct mail strategies.. on and on..whew. all designed with one aim. That when you would invite your friend, they would say yes and go to church with you. All you would have to do is invite them, they would respond to the engaging message and multi-sensory worship, become curious, eventually come to Christ, and eventually become a part of our church. The problem is, it didn't work very well.

GOD'S POWER VS NONSENSE
"God's omnipotence means [His] power to do all that is not intrinsically impossible. You may attribute miracles to Him, but not nonsense. This is no limit to His power. If you choose to say, "God can give a creature free will and at the same time withhold free will from it," you have not succeeded in saying anything about God: meaningless combinations of words do not suddenly acquire meaning simply because we prefix to them the two other words "God can." It remains true that all things are possible with God: the intrinsic impossibilities are not things but nonentities. It is no more possible for God than for the weakest of His creatures to carry out both of two mutually exclusive alternatives--not because His power meets an obstacle, but because nonsense remains nonsense even when we talk it about God."

In Him we LIVE and MOVE and ‘HAVE’ our BEING

In Him we LIVE and MOVE and 'HAVE' our BEING.
by Miguel

Sitting around chanting "Kumbaya" while passing existential weed wrapped
in bible paper seems to be how some think the church should "be."

In essence, the thought is that Christians should be "doing" less
"being" more. It sort of a self deafeating propsotion if you think about
it. Telling others to "be," requires action, or at least a shift in
current action to non-action which is an action in and of itself.

It's as if "Abiding in Christ" were a passive thing.

Mankind, in general, but more specifically the church, lives and moves
and has their being (exists) in God. To be fully human and fully
Christian exhibits, at least, thee three things. The Church, or members
thereof, are to exemplify these three things, or shine as the optimum
example of them.

"Just living life," is but one part. "Moving," is another. "Having our
being, or existence in God is, or should be, a given. Sentience, or self
awareness, is simply the recognition, to one degree or another, that we
are created in God's image. Being comes into clarity when every living
person asks two primal questions;

"Who am I?

And

"Why am I here?" or "What is my purpose."

RECEIVING GOD'S FORGIVENESS
"I don't like having my weakness exposed. I find it hard to look squarely into my heart, to have my self-illusions punctured. Perhaps by slowing down and allowing myself to feel the pain, not to wallow in it, I will be given the grace to recognize what led to my failure. Maybe God will give me not only his forgiveness but the kind of self-understanding that will help me break out of the habits and patterns that lead to sin. Perhaps receiving God's forgiveness, like extending it, is for most of us a process rather than an event."

RETURN TO PUTTING HIM FIRST
"Like a husband's first love for his young bride, that's how God feels about you. Like a loving parent desires his children to trust his guidance, God longs to lead you into life. But when we put things that are worth less first in our lives, before God, we end up feeling worthless ourselves. We can never feel secure enough, we can never get enough, because we've abandoned the fountain of living water to dig wells for ourselves that are full of cracks and can never satisfy our deepest thirst. God pleads with people through the prophets to return to putting him first."

GOD'S SHOCKING LOVE
"Jesus once declared that God is "kind toward the unthankful and evil" (St. Luke 6:35), and I remember preaching a sermon on this text to a horrified and even astonished congregation who simply refused to believe (so I gathered afterwards) in this astounding liberality of God. That God should be in a state of constant fury with the wicked seemed to them only right and proper, but that God should be kind towards those who were defying or disobeying His laws seemed to them a monstrous injustice. Yet I was but quoting the Son of God Himself, and I only comment here that the terrifying risks that God takes are part of His Nature. We do not need to explain or modify His unremitting love towards mankind."

EXPOSED: Churches Accepting Bribe Money from Government To Deceive Attendees

Saturday, February 1, 2014   6:51
(Before It's News)

Churches Accepting Bribe Money from Government To Deceive Attendees. Mark Dice Expliansmore, please listen the below video.
According to Peter Kershaw, In Ceasar’s Grip “For a 501c3 church to openly speak out, or organize in opposition to, anything that the government declares ‘legal,’ even if it is immoral (e.g. abortion, homosexuality, same sex marriages, etc.), that church will jeopardize its tax exempt status.  The 501c3 has had a ‘chilling effect’ upon the free speech rights of the church.  LBJ was a shrewd and cunning politician who seemed to well-appreciate how easily many of the clergy would sell out.”

In Bob Jones University v. United States (461 U.S. 574), the U.S. Supreme Court noted the following about the government’s intended purpose for the 501c3: The Court asserts that an exempt organization must “demonstrably serve and be in harmony with the public interest,” must have a purpose that comports with “the common community conscience,” and must not act in a manner “affirmatively at odds with [the] declared position of the whole Government.”
